A Billion Acts of Green : Earth Day 2011

A Billion Acts of Green® is an ongoing commitment to Earth Day designed to prove the idea that real change occurs best when millions of people commit to it with their actions. Every Act registered will be counted toward our ultimate goal of amassing one billion actions in advance of the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Are you, your group, your town, your team registered? If not, now's a great time to join the approximately 78,000,000 around the world that have registered their unique commitment.

Need ideas? Check out Act.EarthDay.org for more information. You'll find upcoming events like city-sponsored Earth Day hikes, or pledges by others registered that include a wide variety of commitments, from changing to CFL lightbulbs in their home to building a community garden.

Thank God men cannot fly, and lay waste the sky as well as the earth.
